When you start noticing, life becomes full of beauty, even in the roughest moments. When you start noticing, you see raw, pure emotion, and you surrender, trusting the process. The deepest wrinkles tell life stories, a flying leaf around a cold fire teaches us the lesson of change. Photography teaches us to notice all beings in all states and shapes, seeing the invisible and feeling what was tamed. The white paper is full of opportunities and excitement, yet it could be burned before the story is captured.
Before being taught reason, all of us as children would notice: the big ants’ adventure on the side of the road, mum’s sadness on a face who wouldn’t say a word, a beautiful weightless cloud, or another invisible footprint on the water in your bath. We all can see, yet the world we created doesn’t cherish that childish way of being. All emotions were tamed for better control, leaving us suffering from the untold.
Notice when you take the camera, you look at what caught your attention, and nothing else matters. You can’t think of fear or the past, no plans or discussions about tonight’s dinner. Your mind becomes still, no place is left untouched by your presence.
Switching off reasoning, trusting the universe, and simply noticing — the camera is just another tool to zoom in and guide your attention. And you feel one thing at a time, yet so rich in colors and meaning, accepting it exactly as it is.
Any activity that truly calls you can bring that joy of being fully present — it will chase away any storm of your thoughts.
All our states should be allowed to exist. When they are covered, they build something deeply rotten inside that cannot be held forever. Pure emotions, when they are just born, like a child learning to walk and falling down, need to be noticed, acknowledged, and accepted with an open heart. When light meets emotion, together it becomes a powerful energy, one that creates and spreads invisible seeds of love.
